Little Green Pig Writing Project is a non-profit creative writing organisation based in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex. We run creative writing activities and workshops for children and young people that, like the original little green pig, are ‘a little bit different and a little bit peculiar.’
The aims of Little Green Pig Writing Project are:
1) To inspire children and young people in Brighton & Hove and beyond to write creatively.
2) To use creative writing as a means of self-expression and to build self-confidence, social and communication skills in children and young people.
3) To improve literacy skills through creative writing.
4) To celebrate children and young people’s writing in the community through live literature events and published work.
Our weekly Little Green Pig club runs on Tuesday afternoons at Brighton Youth Centre, Edward St, Brighton. The session for Piglets (7 – 11 years) is 4 -5 pm, followed by the Saddlebacks (12 and up) from 5.15 – 6.15 pm. The green pigs behind Little Green Pig are Ella Burns and Lucy Snell. You can contact us by leaving a comment on the blog or through visiting our website here.
