Bathroom Tap, originally uploaded by Scootville.
An odd picture to choose you might be thinking. If you had been in the Saddlebacks workshop this week you would have heard some very odd voices too. We had talking swings, talking windows, talking walls. We had a lot of fun imagining the noises and voices our houses and the objects in them make when we humans aren’t around to spoil the peace. Here is an extract from Leah’s. The picture should give you a clue as to who the voice is!
‘The towel’s whimpering again. Someone left it lying on the floor ina soggy heap. At least she gets to leave this awfuk room! The tales she tells us are brilliant, of a magical place called Garden where potted plants grow out of the ground and a giant orange furry beast attacks anything that moves. One day I will make it to Garden.’
Is this how you imagined the tap spoke about its room-mate the towel once you’ve left the bathroom? Any guesses as to what the orange beast might be?
Hope you’re enjoying the lovely sun. See you all on Tuesday,
Lucy
This sounds like a great workshop, I might have to try it out on the Piglets! Leah, your piece of writing is very visual, reminded me of a cartoon or something similar.
