This week’s challenge is a little different. While I was on the beach the other day, I managed to take this photo, hopefully without the owner knowing! Your task is to use the picture as a starting point to write an opening to a story. All you need is to write three sentences. I look forward to seeing what emerges and where the different stories may lead…

I gazed down at my old shoes. To most people, they were just another pair of slightly worn out trainers. To me, they were the starting point of the greatest adventure of my life.
