Saddlebacks waiting to perform, originally uploaded by littlegreenpig.
You may remember that we left some postcards on the chairs in the audience at our Little Green Pig Performance Evening. Here are a couple of the fantastic responses.
Write a limerick about a man who likes fish:
There was an old curious day-tripper
Who found an old fish in his slipper
It made him feel poorly
That smell of John Dory
He’d rather it had been smoked kipper
(By Red)
Write a poem about the first house you lived in:
A tangle of roses and uneven brickwork
That soft dark smell of earth and bread
Finding treasure in a tractor-tyre sandpit
And getting lost under a froth of cowparsley
Wide blue skies above the grasses and daises
And me, swamped in green, woodlouse level.

Looks like there was some hidden talent amongst our audience. What do you think about these poems? Post a comment and let us know.
